II. Questions related to weapon (replica) safety

1. Is a gun permit required to purchase an airsoft replica?
According to current legislation, you do not need a gun permit to purchase airsoft replicas.
To comply with the law, read: What does the law say about the use of airsoft weapons in Romania?
ATTENTION! The law penalizes any act of intimidation, injury or abuse of people or animals using an airsoft gun.

2. What injuries can be caused by the impact of an airsoft BB?
If you are hit by an airsoft BB at a short distance of 3-5 m, it will sting and hurt.
If you are hit in the face, this can have serious consequences — e.g. the eyes.
Both for target shooting and for games, you need protective glasses! We also recommend using a full-face protective mask!

3. Can airsoft guns be used for self-defense?
Airsoft guns or replicas are NOT intended for self-defense.
To comply with the law, read: What does the law say about the use of airsoft weapons in Romania? and Self-defense spray — when can you use it?

III. Technical questions

1. What material are airsoft replicas made of?
Airsoft replicas are made of plastic, ABS, polymer, nylon, combined with alloys, aluminum, and other metals. For more details on a specific product, please consult the description and additional information on the product page.

2. Can upgrades be made to an airsoft replica after purchase?
Some replicas allow upgrades, others do not.
The customer can upgrade an airsoft replica, but must note that the product’s warranty will be voided after an upgrade. The warranty applies only to stock, unmodified replicas.

3. Can lead/steel/glass BBs be used in an airsoft replica?
Manufacturers, professional players, and our staff recommend loading airsoft replicas only with plastic BBs, as using other types of ammunition may damage the product. In this case, the customer will lose the warranty.

4. What does blow-back mean?
Some airsoft replica models are equipped with a blow-back system, which simulates the recoil of a real gun.
It refers to the forward-backward movement of the slide during shooting. The strength of this varies from one replica to another, from gas to CO2, and recently to electric AEG replicas.

5. What is hop-up?
The rotational effect of the BB that helps it travel a greater distance and achieve better accuracy.
The term describes the backspin effect applied to BBs to increase their range (distance) and vertical accuracy.

Airsoft replicas equipped with hop-up have a rubber gasket placed at the end of the inner barrel with various interior cuts that give BBs spin as they pass through it. Most airsoft replicas have adjustable hop-up, which can be adjusted depending on the weight of the BBs used by the user. The hop-up effect must be adjusted to match the weight and speed of the BB.
